The following are guidelines I've established for my awards:
No pornography.
No "Under Construction" Signs.
No dead links.
Proper grammar and spelling.
No "links only" sites.
Site must be primarily non-Commercial.
Content should be interesting and have pages related to Dogs, Genealogy, Conservation, Fishing, or Hunting.
Clean, well used graphics and pictures are desired.
Music is also a plus but is not required.
